Q1: What time does camp start on the first day?
A1: Registration for resident campers begins at 4:30 and day campers register at 5:00. We will begin on the floor for all campers at 6:00.

Q2: Where do we check in if we are staying overnight?
A2: Check-in for all campers takes place in Lund Center downstairs in the gym. You will receive your t-shirt, league team names, food service number, dorm assignments and keys. You will then be directed to the dorm to move in.

Q3: Where do we check in if we are commuting?
A3: Check-in for all campers takes place in Lund Center downstairs in the gym. You will receive your t-shirt and league team names and then are welcome to shoot around in the gym until camp starts.

Q4: When do we check in?
A4: Check in is from 4:30 until 5:30 on the first day of camp. Day campers are encouraged to check in after 5:00.

Q5: Is there a meal the first day?
A5: Dining service begins the second day of camp. Please be sure to have a meal before or during check in on the first day.

Q6: What kinds of meals does my child get at camp?
A6: At the Gustavus Adolphus Market Place campers can select from over twenty daily entrees and side dishes which include the Pizzeria, Country Garden, Market Deli, Gustie Grill, Rotisserie and more. Q7: Do the boys and girls compete against each other?
A7: No, all of the fundamentals and league games are played among a camper's own gender.

Q8: How much spending money should my child bring to camp?
A8: A camper's need for spending money might include the camp store, Gustavus Bookstore,vending machines and pizza or sub purchases in the evening.

Q9: Is there a camp store?
A9: Yes, short and long sleeve T-shirts, sweatshirts and shorts are available for purchase. The store is generally open during registration, periodically through the week and when camp ends. The camp store is located in Lund Center.

Q10: May I choose a particular roommate?
A10: Yes, you may room with whomever you choose. Due to COVID restrictions we cannot allow more than two in a room. We cannot assure that bigger groups will be able to have adjacent rooms, however. In order to best serve your request for a roommate and reduce multiple requests and changes, you will be asked to sign up for your roommate via our website.
We will try to accommodate requests to put rooms next to each other, but due to the number of requests cannot guarantee that all requests will be fulfilled.

Q11: How many players are in a room?
A11: There will be two people per room. Friends will be allowed to room next door. COVID protocol limits people to their own rooms.

Q12: What type of supervision and security is there in the dorm?
A12: The dorms are accessible only during meals and after the evening session is finished. Any time the dorm is open there will be camp or Gustavus staff in the dorms. Our coaching staff also stays in the dorm in the evenings and is responsible for supervision at that time. Gustavus security is staffed 24 hours a day.

Q13: Are there phones in the room?
A13: Yes, phones are available for local calls. Long distance calls may be made from these phones but they require a credit card or a collect call. Parents should find out their child's phone number upon checking into the room. The phones will receive long distance calls.

Q14: Are linens provided?
A14: Yes, there will be two sheets, a pillow case, a towel, wash cloth, blanket and pillow for each overnight camper. These are turned in at check-out. All sheets are flat sheets. Campers are welcome and encouraged to bring a fitted sheet for comfort.

Q15: Are the dorms air conditioned?
A15: No, you may want to bring a fan.

Q16: Is it ok to drive myself to camp?
A16: If it's ok with your parents you may. However, if you're an overnight camper there will be no driving during camp. If you are a commuter camper, park your car in the morning and go out to it after the day is over at approximately 9:20 PM.

Q17: What about my keys?
A17: A camper's keys are their responsibility. If a dorm key is lost, the replacement cost is $75. Camper's are encouraged to bring a lanyard key chain for keeping track of keys.

Q18: Is there an athletic trainer at camp?
A18: Yes, a certified trainer is on duty during all gym sessions.

Q19: What if I get ill or hurt at camp and I am an overnight camper?
A19: Every overnight camper is expected to report to Lund Center for every session. The certified trainer and camp director will then make a determination regarding the recommended level of participation for the camper.

Q20: What if I get ill at camp and I am a commuter?
